Who we would introduce you to
If you tick the optional supplier-introduction box when you ask for our buyer’s guide, this is the complete list of companies your email address and postcode could be passed to. Nobody else. This page is generated from our database when you load it, so it is current as of right now.
We have not yet signed a data-sharing agreement with any solar supplier, so at this moment there is nobody we could pass your details to even if you asked us to.
That is the honest state of things rather than an error on this page. We would rather show you an empty list than a vague promise about “selected partners”. If you tick the box today, your consent sits dormant and unused until a supplier appears here — and if one never does, nothing ever happens.
We list 32 solar vendors elsewhere on this site. Being listed is not the same thing as being on this page: a listing is us writing about a company, and this page is a company that has signed an agreement about how it will treat your data.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Only what is on this page, only at the time. Your details go to suppliers named here at the moment of sharing. A supplier added next month does not get last month’s leads.
- Only if you asked. The box starts unticked and getting the guide never depends on it. If you left it alone, none of this applies to you at all.
- Only after you confirm your email. Nothing is shared on the strength of an unconfirmed signup.
- Recorded on your own record. We write down which supplier got your details and when, so we can tell you if you ask.
- Reversible in one click. The unsubscribe link in any of our emails stops future introductions immediately. It cannot un-send one already made — we will tell you who has your details so you can go to them directly.
Does this affect our comparison?
No, and it must not be allowed to. Whether a company has signed a data-sharing agreement has no bearing on where it appears in our comparison table, what our compliance checks say about its kit, or whether we write about it critically. Those are separate systems on purpose, and paid placements are labelled wherever they appear.
We take a fee for an introduction. We would rather say that here than have you find out somewhere else.
