For vendors

Your listing is public either way. This is how you make it accurate.

Wattcheck lists what we can find on sale in the UK, built from what vendors publish and from the Energy Networks Association’s own register. We do not ask permission to list a product and we do not remove a listing on request. What we will do, gladly, is let the company that actually makes the thing tell us what it is.

This page is the correction flow. Everything else a vendor can do here — the calculator embed, and exactly what paid placement does and does not buy — is on the vendors page.

Every one of those gaps is filled by the vendor who wants their own listing to look good. There is no other realistic source for most of them.

How it works

  1. You ask, we email a link. It goes to the contact address already published on your own website — never to whichever address made the request. That is the only thing standing between your listing and someone else’s edit.
  2. The link works once, for 14 days. No password, no account, nothing for us to leak. When it is spent you ask for another.
  3. You see your listing and correct it. Prices, photographs, product links, your description — these go live the moment you submit. They are things anyone can check by following the link you gave us.
  4. Specifications go to a person first. AC output, battery, inverter model, ENA System Reference, plug and fuse. These are the figures our compliance checks are built from, so they need a datasheet behind them and a human to read it.

The thing we will not do read this bit

A vendor cannot change our compliance verdict, and cannot buy one. If you tell us your kit is 800W AC with no battery, we do not print it — we check it against your datasheet and the ENA register, and a named person here writes down why they concluded what they concluded. Until that happens your kit reads “not yet verified”, exactly like everyone else’s.

That is not a hoop we are making you jump through. It is the only reason a buyer has to believe anything on this site — including the parts that are good for you.

What it costs

Nothing. Claiming a listing is free, correcting a listing is free, and there is no tier that makes your product look more compliant than it is. We do not charge for accuracy: a site that sold accuracy would be selling the only thing it has.

Paid placement does exist, separately, and it is stated in full in one place rather than half-explained in two — see what money buys here. It is not sold through this form.

Ask for a link

Email hello@wattcheck.co.uk with your company name and the page your kits are sold on. If we already list you, say so and we will find you.

Spotted something wrong and do not want to claim anything? Tell us in the same email. We will fix it regardless — a claim link is for editing your own listing, not for reporting an error in it.
