What this tells you
The chargepoint can export to the grid and has been type tested against G98 or G99 accordingly, anti-islanding included.
And what it does not. Only vehicle-to-grid chargepoints appear here. An ordinary one-way 7kW chargepoint does not export and is not type tested as a generator, so its absence from this register means nothing whatsoever about it. The rules that govern an ordinary chargepoint are the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, which we do not yet hold as a register.
The rules that apply
A chargepoint that can export is type tested and notified like any other generator, under G98 or G99. An ordinary import-only chargepoint is governed instead by the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, which set default off-peak charging, randomised delay and security requirements. SI 2026/848 does not apply to either.
