What we checked
A chargepoint that can export is type tested and notified like any other generator, under G98 or G99. An ordinary import-only chargepoint is governed instead by the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021, which set default off-peak charging, randomised delay and security requirements. SI 2026/848 does not apply to either. What we can check from a published specification is whether the equipment appears on the register that does govern it.
- Appears on the ENA register — Not yet verifiedWe have not matched this kit to a specific entry on the Energy Networks Association Connect Direct register. Vendor names and model names on the register frequently differ from retail names, so an unmatched kit may well be registered under a name we have not linked yet. We would rather say we do not know than guess.
